ABOUT HUGH
Hugh Wilson is a painter, writer and photographer. He received his MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art in 2004. He has traveled widely making painted portraits in remote locations across the globe All his paintings are entirely from life and on location. His travels began when the US Ambassador to Algeria invited him to travel and paint for an exhibition at the US Embassy in Algiers..
Recently Hugh has taken his knowledge of painting and applied it to commercial photography. His work focuses on diversity, inclusion, beauty and intimacy – a continuation of hs deep cultural experiences around the world and the experience of painting from life. Hugh's paintings have been exhibited in Algeria, France, the Dominican Republic and the USA.
